For me, it's offloading time from when I'm most productive, to when I'm less so. So from one point of view, if it takes 20 minutes to find, install, and learn targets.vim, and each time I use it it only saves me a few seconds, it will take a long time to pay off. But that time learning and refining is still well spent. Or at least, it's better spent than writing a post on Reddit :). And the few seconds I'm saving by being able to delete an argument with daa instead of figuring out how many Words back and forward I need to delete represent an entire context shift.
