To the best of my knowledge, if you really want to have the full chat, you need to do some work. And that involves rooting the android. Have a look at this XDA post. It explains in details how to extract the necessary files and export the chat. And I think this tool shows the media files as well. There is an alternate non-root (and very roundabout) way to extract the necessary files explained in this GitHub repo as well.
