I want to boot into a custom kernel on the UDM to disable NAT, run dnsmasq, and enable Docker to run Pihole, potentially freeing up my Raspberry Pi for other duties.
Does it make more sense to use OPNsense as a transparent filtering bridge and leave the UDM as stock to keep doing DHCP/NAT, as OPNsense might get in the way of UniFi's DPI capabilities? Especially since the UDM's software mods might introduce even more instability (such as getting completely undone after a reboot) and potentially mess everything up with a double NAT?
