Cheating in chess is a really big problem, so I hope this serves as a relatively complete introduction to the topic. If you want to learn more, I'd recommend learning further about chess engines like stockfish and how chess organizations are attempting to deal with it (a good starting place is the various videos by Chess.com and lichess.org where they address the issue).
