Doom isn't super difficult to port from what I know (never tried it myself, though), and there exist projects that make it even easier, see stuff like: https://github.com/ozkl/doomgeneric
DOOM was made fully open-source a while back meaning unlike most commercially released games we have full access to the source code. People have also made ports/maintained the source code so it's more or less up to date.
