xword-dl
⬛⬜⬛ Command line tool to scrape crosswords from online solvers and save them as .puz files ⬛⬜⬛
The best tool for downloading crosswords is https://github.com/downforacross/downloadacross, a Chrome plugin which I have contributed to. Unfortunately it doesn't yet support the New Yorker but if you happen to be or know a programmer who would be willing to implement it, that's the place to implement it. I had a quick look at the site just now and it's not easy to work out how they're storing the crossword data, but I'm sure it's possible 😅
The New Yorker downloader in XWord is fixed, and I think it's likely that there'll be a new release of the app soon.
