Hi, i need laptop for work. Requirements sshfs and virtualization. Windows laptops are fine, but I have concern about m1: - sshfs: https://github.com/osxfuse/osxfuse it should be working, but there is very little information available - docker: is should be fine, but are there any other free apps? Paralles is paid subscription (with updates), something like Virtual Box - thermal throttling: it can be "fixed" via thermal pad mode. I want stable performace, 10-20% performance loss after 10 minutes under load is not acceptable. The M1 air is also a solid choice - a lot of my colleagues are currently running it no problem. They use QEMU as a free tool for virtualization. You're getting superior display, speakers and battery life. Not to mention a unix-like OS by default, which is why a lot of web developers use Macs.
