  • I recently started using quick-scope which is not like easymotion or vim-sneak, but makes it easier to know where you can f, F, t or T to a word text object on the current line. As a downside, it adds color noise to the line but I adapted to it and it feels more intuitive to use the default commands.

  • I had the same issues you mentioned and tried to migrate to vim-sneak. It is great plugin, but I wasn't quite able to adapt it to my preferred easymotion workflow. So I created a very simple clone:
