    • OK, so this worked and I even understand a little bit about why it worked. Evidently, Samba 4.11 changed the default minimum Samba protocol from Samba 1 to Samba 2. It seems that my Android TV box (HiMedia Q10 Pro) wants very much to use Samba 1. Now I read this ominous warning in the Samba release notes that support for Samba 1 is on the way out. As you might imagine, this concerns me.
