Our website is hosted through Google (embarrassing). We have the domain name. We want to switch to a different host. But we barely have two nickles to rub together. Explanation in body.

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/webdevelopment

  • gutenberg

A fast static site generator in a single binary with everything built-in. https://www.getzola.org

  • If your partner doesn't mind editing the code for the website himself, hosting a static site on somewhere like Netlify or Cloudflare Pages will be completely free for simple sites (they generally charge on traffic to the site, and number of changes per month). Netlify have a basic contact form bundled in as well. The downside to this system is you have to build the site yourself, but many static site generators like Hugo and Zola have templates made for them that could get you started. This won't cover emails, but would be totally free for web hosting.

  • Hugo

The world’s fastest framework for building websites.
