If you would like to take a look at my i3-gaps config, you can do so here. It's not much, but it definitely works for me. I enjoy using it.

I can also add ... I use rofi instead of dmenu, as well as polybar instead of i3status, gnome-terminal, picom, dunst, i3lock, https://github.com/adi1090x/dynamic-wallpaper (dynamic wallpaper, before that I used feh and a custom bash script), scrot for Print Screen key.
