So, if you're going the botnet-connected-Google-service-exploiting path, then your lab objective at this point is to root the tablet with Magisk. First, you need the Magisk Manager which you can download from github here: https://github.com/topjohnwu/MagiskManager. I installed it via adb so I didn't have to connect my tablet to WiFi in the simulation.
Taking a full-system image would be going above and beyond here, but might have unexpected rewards. Normally, it is customary to have an advanced recovery tool such as Team Win Recovery Project or TWRP when you're rooting, so you can quickly unfuck your system. If you can install TWRP on this tablet, you will effectively solve this very important problem/lab. However, there is no TWRP specifically built for this tablet so I will leave installing TWRP as bonus optional objective as there's no guarantee it's even possible. That's what's great about this art. Also, even if you do install TWRP, you overwrite the recovery partition so the wise hacker would probably back it up, although I think TWRP does that automatically. Oh, also it's been half a decade or more since I used TWRP so I will leave this part up to you, as I'm not going to do it. Download TWRP here: https://twrp.me/
