lsp-mode: How to get lsp-angular to work in vanilla emacs?

I'm trying to get lsp-angular to work. I've tried the steps listed here https://github.com/emacs-lsp/lsp-mode/wiki/Install-Angular-Language-server, but it does not work for me. If I open an angular project's html file nothing happens, and if I start lsp-mode it simply shows as disconnected. I have had success using lsp-mode for haskell and java in the past, but can't figure this one out.

I'm using lsp and angular with nvm. Here is my config:
