Could be just that the game doesn't support the controller. I have been suggested to use https://github.com/kozec/sc-controller to make the controller act as a xbox controller for the same issue on other games, but never had luck with it, the program recognized the controller and I could remap it, but games didn't recognize the controller at all afterwards. Sadly the only working solution I've found so far has been steam input.

I tried using https://github.com/Grumbel/jstest-gtk to configure the controller, and it worked, however the moment I opened enter the gungeon all of my settings went to shit. Gungeon literally changed the settings that I just changed in jstest-gtk, and made them not work. Is there a way to stop games from doing this?
