blur-my-shell
Extension that adds a blur look to different parts of the GNOME Shell, including the top panel, dash and overview
Combine that with bscout9956's fork of BreezeBlurred and a transparent panel theme and you have yourself a nice looking desktop
I pretty sure there are some extensions like https://github.com/CorvetteCole/blur-provider and this https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/3193/blur-my-shell/ but they're not completely usable IMO. KDE has a lot better options if you need to play around with blur.
