I implemented this one line solution from martinguder at the bottom of the page, without which I couldn't get node-irsdk to work with electron. I also added a few lines in the JsIrSdk.js file to remove non ascii characters from player names. I had an issue once where the mere appearance of a Turkish gentleman crashed the app.
I use my fork of https://github.com/apihlaja/node-irsdk to get data out of iRacing.
