Heh, I still mean to do this for 2015 too, but not using any of the languages I used in 2016 or 2017. They are getting rather obscure now...
I try to write my code following the logic of the language as much as possible. For the languages I didn't know, I read several basic tutorials (for exemple this site helped me a lot : https://learnxinyminutes.com/ ) then I read the source code of applications written in this language.
I did the same thing this year: https://github.com/bereal/AdventOfCode2020/, and also collected other people's attempts. I added a link to your repo to the collection.
