Pattern Matching is a feature implemented in many languages like Haskell, OCaml, Erlang, Rust, Swift, Elixir, Rescript… The list goes on. There is even a TC39 proposal from 2017 to add Pattern Matching to the EcmaScript specification (defining the JavaScript syntax and semantic).
