I'd like to get kexec working to implement something like kevinboot (which also has the panel-flicker problem, see his README) or petitboot. Right now I cram the kernel into the SPI flash along with coreboot, which means I have to have an external SPI programmer handy in order to try out any kernel changes (since there is no room for a fallback kernel in the SPI flash).
