I tend to work in an environment with a lot of mTLS and so end up creating test certs all the time. I used to do this with bespoke bash + openssl until I got fed up and just made a utility that I use for local dev and CI pipelines. The goal is to make creating arbitrary CA + leaf cert hierarchies quick and easy. It's available as both a lib and a cli - https://github.com/joemiller/certin
