If you search for a small and mobile convertible than I would absolutely recommend the Surface Go. There is a newer version, the Surface Go 2, which not only provide a bit more performance but also works with Linux without any modification (e.g. custom kernels or what so ever). There are some things which does not work however, for example the cameras. For the virtual keyboard, you will need to install and configure maliit (https://github.com/maliit/keyboard). For the stylus pen bugs, can you open a bug report in libinput?
