This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/valheim

Our great sponsors
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • BorgBackup

Deduplicating archiver with compression and authenticated encryption.

  • This will then trigger my preferred backup tool borg to backup the entire valheim directory. I like borg because it uses compression and deduplication so only the bits that changed actually gets backed up. For reference my current borg repo has 137 archives with an original size of 13GB but only takes 337MB of space because of the compression and deduplication.

  • rclone

"rsync for cloud storage" - Google Drive, S3, Dropbox, Backblaze B2, One Drive, Swift, Hubic, Wasabi, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob, Azure Files, Yandex Files

  • Finally, the borg repo is uploaded to Google drive using rclone so I always have an updated copy.

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.
