GitHub modules and v2+ conventions?

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/golang

Our great sponsors
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • chi

lightweight, idiomatic and composable router for building Go HTTP services

  • But when I look at go-chi, for example: https://github.com/go-chi/chi/, there's no version folders. You install via go get -u github.com/go-chi/chi/v5 - but where's the v5 coming from? Maybe this is more of a GitHub question than go question - is v5 somehow pointing to a different repo? The link doesn't lead anywhere but somehow installs the package.

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.
