With Change Filament plugin (https://github.com/jim-p/Change_Filament) you don't have to worry about load/unload lengths, as the plugin is capable of issuing M600 code to the printer, which triggers the internal filament change procedure. I've been using it since I got OctoPrint on my MINI, works great with only one annoyance (but not plugin's fault).
