Godot for a roguelike. Pros and cons?

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/roguelikedev

Our great sponsors
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • godot-docs

    Godot Engine official documentation

  • Documentation can sometimes be lacking, particularly with 4.0 since it's relatively new, but the Q&A board can usually fill in the gaps. And if you really want to help out you can post an issue in the documentation github so future people are saved the grief.

  • SatiRogue

    A turn-based dungeon-crawler roguelike RPG, made with Godot 3.x C# + RelEcs

  • The 3.x source code is here: https://github.com/lewiji/SatiRogue

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.

  • revengate

  • Oh no! It's in open testing in a few countries and I guess that Google Play prefers to pretend that the app does not exist if you are from somewhere else rather than saying that its region restricted at the moment. The code is here and you can see what it looks like on my devlog.

NOTE: The number of mentions on this list indicates mentions on common posts plus user suggested alternatives. Hence, a higher number means a more popular project.
