How do external sub-resources work in imported scenes?
Alternatively, if you only want to load specific files without a whole pack, then force the user to include all sub-resources into the same file. I don't know of a way to load a file with a specific res:// path without using pck files. But images will be difficult to load now, since the .png files are converted to .stex for compiled games (unless you manually load the image files).

GDNative was the previous way of using other programming languages, in Godot 3. GDExtension, which is coming to 4, just boils down to a dll according to the WIP docs https://github.com/godotengine/godot-docs/pull/6212 (the previous way needed some additional files IIRC per script)

Regarding class reference completion in 4.0, you can track its progress on this page. See also this tracker issue for documentation pages to add or update to the manual.
We are moving the official documentation towards being a reference manual, with only a "your first game" tutorial included for 2D and 3D. See https://github.com/godotengine/godot-docs/issues/3390 for rationale.

I am trying to make a 3d game in Godot, but I am fairly new at this and I am following a bunch of tutorials, mainly ones from docs.godotengine.org.
