Nobody is forcing you to go to a sub modded by them either. You can go to 4chan, because that's literally how Reddit will be without them.
Users need to understand that they can create a single account on any (preferably low population) server to get access to any lemmy community and that Jerboa is a pretty good app to use for phones.
