There have been a couple of vulnerabilities discovered in Jellyfin over the years (like any other piece of software really), some are still potentially an issue today. Some links: 1,2,3,4,5. Caddy wouldn't have protected you from any of these.
I'm not sure if we're talking about the same thing though, because as far as I recall, many client apps currently do not support the usual authentication protocols. Which authentication are you referring to? If you only use the WebUI client maybe this works.
