Obsidian is notetaking application and markdown is just a way to format plain text documents. It's got syntax that allows you to add headers, dots, links, tables, code etc.
I find the T3-Stack super beginner friendly https://github.com/t3-oss/create-t3-app as it uses tRPC which amazingly pushes your backend more close to the frontend.
