Perhaps you dind't look at it - this is the Internet, after all :) - but getssl is basically acme.sh with a distribution mechanism for certs. So you can do all your cert making and storing and distribution in one place without relying (in my case anyway) on your own sketchy l33t scripting skillz.
Use https://tailscale.com/ - I'd never use this myself as I wouldn't ever hand over security/encryption/networking to a third party, but they have plenty of happy customers and they even support handing out https://tailscale.com/blog/tls-certs/ within the private network.
