There used to be a desktop application called Snap Camera that would let you do full video via a webcam plugin. Unfortunately, they shut the servers down earlier this year, but if you're willing to do a bit of hacking, there's the SnapCameraPreservation project: https://github.com/jaku/SnapCameraPreservation
