First of all, if you're using the Intel SP9, check out this repo: https://github.com/linux-surface/linux-surface. it has a list of what is and isn't working for each Surface device, and includes a custom repo including patched kernel and other utilities for Surface devices, along with install instructions for Arch. For the SP9 specifically, it says that once you do all of these, the cameras still won't work and s0ix has some issues, but everything else should work.
Anyway, I'm just curious how other Arch/Surface users are faring. What have you tried that works, and what doesn't? I've seen mention that there are DEs, like paperde, which is designed for touch screen access, and I'm curious if they offer a better experience. Lastly, please feel free to share any tips/recommendations.
