Installing an SSL Cert on UDM using acme.sh and Google Domains

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/Ubiquiti

Our great sponsors
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • ubios-cert

Manage SSL / TLS certificates with acme.sh (Let's Encrypt, ZeroSSL) for Ubiquiti UbiOS firmwares

  • Firstly, I used the tool ubios-cert and the installation instructions they provide to do the majority of this process. For a good number of DNS API providers, these instructions alone are sufficient (e.g. GoDaddy, Cloudflare, etc.).

  • acme.sh

A pure Unix shell script implementing ACME client protocol (by alexleigh)

  • Follow the steps of the ubios-cert instructions up to the deploy point. The Google Domains API hasn't been merged in yet, so you need to pull it separately. Go here to find the Google Domains API. It's easier just to copy the entire contents into your clipboard since you'll need to place this with the rest of the APIs.

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.
