In my experience, auth0 was a complete disaster, and it's hardly even possible to migrate from it. It introduced way more problems than it solved, with weird limitations and behavior at each step. So just use a library for this or a self-hosted approach, to be able to migrate in the future. Auth.js for Next in other frameworks, Lucia is a new library that should in theory work with different frameworks, logto.io is an auth0 analog that can be self-hosted, and there are many different self-hosted ones.
