Logseq, perhaps? As it's the most feature rich note taker I know that also supports Markdown. It's one of the new graph-based tools like Roam research and has different organization principle than Obsidian. But if you use backlinks a lot in Obsidian, logseq will be an easy transition as the whole system is based on it.
For practicing regex, which can be very useful in situations like this, i usually use regex101.com because it will let you see how the expression works on sample text. (Fyi it is not floss and not local only. There is a very similar project which floss and can be local https://regexr.com/ but i find it slightly less good.)
