  • What can you do instead is pick a role or something that really interests you (this is important), determine what's on demand on that role, do a self-study on the tech and THEN build some projects using the stuff you just learned so you can have a portfolio that you can actually put on your resume. I know I'm being vague and especially understating perhaps the difficulty of attaining the things that I have said. But you have to realize that the main problem of the IT job market is not the saturation (too many applicants) but its the lack of skills the applicants have.
