seems like https://vdo.ninja/ is a reliable option and probably what i will go for as it was recommended in another comment below. I can have my dslr and mic connected to my latop, open the website that lets me create a browser source on the laptop. Then just put that browser source into the OBS that is running from my PC in my room
For controlling OBS, you can control it several ways. If you have a stream deck, you can use OBS web socket. Or if it works, you could just use google chrome Remote Desktop. Might be choppy video though. Also look at obs blade. https://github.com/Kounex/obs_blade
