someone please enlighten me... is there a simpler way to read int input from cmd-line in zig?

I was expecting that there is a function that conveniently does all the safety checks and happily returns a parsed value in the standard library (what a weird expectation from someone who used cpp as comparison haha) https://github.com/ziglang/zig/issues/12161 (maybe this will do if it got accepted)
