In it's current state the video is passable, the audio sucks, but there's been many times I have played for hours without game audio and had other music playing in the background, but I will work on tweaking audio and visual aspects. My system is running FreeBSD 14.0-CURRENT #4 main-n261433-3ac71149bade Computer is Intel 12600k, 32gigs ddr5, EVGA 3090FTW, FreeBSD is installed on an nvme drive using zfs. I sort of hacked Suyimazu to get this game in it's current state, hope the developer doesn't mind. I was having some issues with the current wine installed via pkg. So I gave freesbie a try https://github.com/thindil/wine-freesbie Changing Suyimazu from it's original config of using the installed version of wine to wine-patched-7.21.1 I installed with freesbie.sh, and then altered Suyimazu config to use wine-proton as a runner for steam instead of provided wine. I couldn't get the dx12 working tonight, but I was pleasantly surprised when the game loaded using the x64 version. I recorded a very rough video https://youtu.be/wmiq_sutcCk, you may wish to turn your audio down if you view it, I was holding the phone with right hand and tried to get Geralt out the door to view the mtns. I only played long enough to kill the creatures under the tree Geralt & Vesemir slept under. If anyone knows how to fix this audio issue, please respond.
I would give a try for version wine-proton 7.0.36. It is wine-proton-ge ported to FreeBSD. At the moment, probably the most advanced version of Wine: stable Wine + staging patches + Valve patches + own patches. :)
