Authentik gets mentioned often but i havent used it myself yet.
If your want to identify against other oath servers like google/azure/… I find oath2-proxy quit easy.
I've been running Cloudflare Zero Trust - Access in front of my services. I used to use Keycloak for authenticaton, but switched to Logto (https://github.com/logto-io/logto) a few months ago to try it. It was easy to set up and works well!
While I am still working on it, if you are using k8s my current project might help you setup and manage authentik (https://gitlab.com/GeorgeRaven/authentik-manager). But it's still experimental and unfortunately I likely won't support docker-compose since it's a kubernetes operator. You can setup the whole stack with just configs / custom resources without having to do clickops in the authentik UI.
