This is easy and secure. https://tailscale.com , when the client is installed on both computers, all you have to do is right-click the file, goto tailscale and click send, you can pick which computer you want to send the file to. I have a network of 4 computers setup with this program. It's encrypted and secure. Of course it's gonna depend on the upload and download speeds of each computer.
Ask your friend/s to visit https://:PORTNUMBER . They will get a certificate warning. Ask them to ignore it and "connect anyway", Tell them not to worry about the warning because, if you have the latest openssl, nodejs and http-server installed, your connection will be encrypted using TLS v1.3 AES256GCM which is as safe as modern encryption in 2023 will allow. They will be prompted for a username and password (from Step 4). Give them that safely using Briar(https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.briarproject.briar.android) or Element(https://element.io/download) or Signal(https://signal.org).
