This is interesting, in that I can't tell if it: - unlocks the read-only file system (not seeing the unlock command in a cursory review of the the script) - assumes you've already unlocked it or are using an overlay like rwfus - doesn't require unlocking the file system (but I think I see it modifying system files so that seems unlikely
I would personally enable the functionality provided by this script in different ways (Chromium from flatpak or--better--just use Firefox; minecraft-launcher is pants compared to PrismLauncher or a command-line launcher like portablemc) or not at all (I doubt having the latest mesa drivers is actually advantageous vs. the optimizations built into Valve's version of the kernel, but I could be wrong), but to each their own.
