    Linux Kernel for Surface Devices

    • Intel Precise Touch & Stylus Daemon, which needs to be installed to most Surface devices (and a couple other recent 2-in-1s) in order to use touchscreen multitouch gestures and stylus input. If you're planning on getting a Surface device specifically, you should probably check out the linux-surface repo, which has install instructions to get things working on Surface devices, as well as a feature matrix for what features are currently supported on Linux for each device.

  • xournalpp

    Xournal++ is a handwriting notetaking software with PDF annotation support. Written in C++ with GTK3, supporting Linux (e.g. Ubuntu, Debian, Arch, SUSE), macOS and Windows 10. Supports pen input from devices such as Wacom Tablets.

    • Slight correction, it's a rewrite of the file formal. I'm not entirely sure how much of the app is also being rewritten. Here's the github issue.
