It's 2023 and we can't switch the overlay browser or install a basic ad blocker. Why are people okay with this?

    • They aren't working on anything because all of the UI is changed already, Chat, Library, Web pages, Big Picture. Only thing that's there is for Skinning & we don't want it changed. Steam's CEF was never a true replacement for Chrome & I'll urge to read this elsewhere for differences. Steam will never let you "redirect" HTTP/S requests to other browsers like they also don't let you use common OTP apps either & this is purely on Security that nothing you say will ever change this. Overlay browser (CEF) is intentionally in this current state & that won't ever change, no extensions, no Chrome settings, no uBlock Origin, nothing. Valve urges you to use normal Chrome instead.
