I've put together the docker-netlify-cms-standalone image as an easy way to self-host Netlify CMS as an independant headless CMS with docker.
I've used Ghost CMS in the past, but when setting up my personal blog I wanted more control over my content. Netlify CMS looked like a great way of editing markdown files stored in a git repository, but wasn't very easy to self-host (outside of Netlify).

Just a heads-up that Netlify CMS is not maintained anymore. The last commit has been almost a year ago, and Netlify doesn't seem to care about the project anymore. Really unfortunate because being git-based and easily self-hostable made it a very unique CMS. The closest alternative is probably Tina CMS but it's very focused on Next.js and in general isn't as mature yet.
