  • NBA-Transactions

For Reddit posts about NBA transaction data

  • According to basketball-reference.com, There were 38 second round picks traded on Thursday, which is obviously a lot. But how unusual was it? I scraped 74 seasons-worth of NBA transaction data (as far back as 1950) from basketball-reference.com (e.g., https://www.basketball-reference.com/leagues/NBA_2023_transactions.html) to find out. Here is a link to the basic data and the code to get these numbers via Github.

  • TradeNet

Explore the history of NBA player transactions by visualizing them as a graph.

  • I also made an NBA related project semi-recently! It visualizes trades as a graph. I scraped data from prosportstransactions.com but I did add a 4 second delay between each of my requests. Would be a good addition if you haven't added one yet.

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.
