  • panel

Pterodactyl® is a free, open-source game server management panel built with PHP, React, and Go. Designed with security in mind, Pterodactyl runs all game servers in isolated Docker containers while exposing a beautiful and intuitive UI to end users.

  • I just started using Pterodactyl (after hours and hours of figuring out how to use Linux to install it and messing with Oracle Cloud) and it’s quite nice. My main complaint is it’s not quite like most panels when you rent a single server. There isn’t a way to see online players, or a player list for who’s been on the server, or a plug-in manager. Basically some of the nice features to have but aren’t necessary. I have seen some add-ons that do some of this, but most of them are paid. It is nice that you can edit the look and feel of the panel, and install add-ons. It’s definitely a good panel to use if you know how to add some of this stuff or don’t care about it that much. (One thing I still can’t figure out is getting the IP situation to work outside of only admin access essentially. When you add an Allocation, you put in the IP. On my setup, I have to use 0.0.0.0 for them, and then apply an alias to make it not show 0.0.0.0:25565 in the server panel itself)

  • AMP

Issue tracking and documentation for AMP (by CubeCoders)

  • I tried AMP and it did seem pretty darn nice and feature packed, I just didn’t like how it functioned occasionally. I had some latency issues here and there (which could be just my setup). It also is sorta-paid? I can’t remember exactly. I stopped using it just because I didn’t like how it looked mainly (which you can change with themes, it was just something that was above my head and didn’t feel like messing with).
