Yes, you're supposed to only get 1 version, but due to this long standing bug, Flatpak isn't marking Nvidia drivers correctly, so you end up with 10 versions that want to be updated, totaling 3 Gigabyte for every goshdarn update.
True. But I think they're not the only one who has had a not-so-good experience interacting with the AppImage team. For example, this pull request blew up for all the wrong reasons last year.
I look forward to watching the FOSDEM talk this weekend, so perhaps getting ahead of myself. But I'm curious whether you think the move in appimage toward static linking would solve some of the hairy issues you pointed out?
