  • babashka

Native, fast starting Clojure interpreter for scripting

  • Plus, with the amazing Babashka runtime, you get practically-negligible startup times for scripts and the like. It's seriously practical; comes with built-in libraries for filesystem, JSON/XML/EDN, HTTP, process management, a task system similar to Makefile's targets (but better, because it's just plain Clojure) etc. I've started using it for all my system scripting and performance has not once been an issue, even for multithreaded scripts (which are trivial to write because of the language's design around FP and immutable data structures).
