InfluxDB
Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.
If you're wanting to try that out, it's very easy by editing the numbers within the FAN_POINT lines of this file (for your model): https://github.com/system76/ec/blob/master/src/board/system76/gaze17-3060/board.mk
Remember you can also open a support ticket if you'd like someone from System76 to try and help determine what's causing the fans to spin up more than you expect. And you should not need to replace thermal paste on a brand new system, but you can see how the cooling system is laid out here: https://tech-docs.system76.com/models/gaze17/repairs.html#replacing-the-cooling-system
git clone https://github.com/system76/firmware-open cd firmware-open ./scripts/deps.sh
The performance modes are going to affect how much power the system is using (and thus how much heat it's generating), not the fan curves directly. Those profiles are defined in the system76-power application, source code here: https://github.com/pop-os/system76-power/blob/master/src/daemon/profiles.rs
